Abstract: Ian McEwan is one of the most famous British authors of our time, known for his ability to convey deep emotions, complex psychological processes, and striking descriptions that immerse readers in the events and thoughts of his characters. Its expressive syntax plays a key role in creating images that influence the reader's perception and provide a rich context for analysis. Fascinating are the stylistic techniques that McEwan uses to build an emotionally charged narrative, including vivid descriptions, emotional intensity, psychological analysis, symbolism and metaphors, and a special narrative structure. The aim of the study. The aim of this study is to identify and analyze the main features of expressive syntax in the works of Ian McEwan, to reveal their influence on the creation of imagery and emotional intensity of the text, and to establish their contribution to a deeper understanding of the characters' psychology.
