DRESS-syndrome in clinical practice.

Abstract

Despite being rare, the Drug Rash with Eosinophilia and Systemic Symptoms (DRESS-syndrome) is a serious, possibly fatal condition that may affect both adults and children, who may also be burdened by delayed sequelae. The condition poses significant clinical challenges due to its complex pathophysiology and potentially life-threatening complications, necessitating prompt recognition and management to mitigate adverse outcomes (Manieri E., et al., 2023; Schunkert E.M., et al., 2021; Zhou et al., 2024).
