Концептуальне моделювання структури концептосфери «rehabilitation» в англомовному медичному дискурсі: дефініції, структура, системні зв’язки

Abstract

The focus of the study is the modeling of the conceptosphere «rehabilitation» within the English‑l anguage medical worldview, in particular the identification of the concept’s structure and the detection of its systemic relationships. The article addresses the issue of defining rehabilitation as an element of a specific domain of knowledge that comprises concepts organized in a systematic way. The relevance of the research is determined by the growing interest in the communicative- functional aspect of language, especially in the context of globalization, active interdisciplinary collaboration, and the increasing role of medical terminology in the conditions of warfare in Ukraine. At the same time, there is a lack of a comprehensive linguistic analysis of the conceptosphere rehabilitation within the English language as a system. The aim of the study is to provide a comprehensive analysis of the structure and organization of the conceptosphere rehabilitation through the examination of linguistic means that verbalize this concept in contemporary English medical discourse. The article proposes: – a lexicographically grounded description of the conceptosphere rehabilitation; – an analysis of subconcepts and miniconcepts represented by lexical and phraseological units; – a model of the conceptosphere structure considering the cognitive characteristics of the concept.
