Disturbances in adipose tissue formation during intrauterine development may serve as early markers of metabolic and connective tissue pathologies. The study of morphological features of the subcutaneous adipose tissue in the fetal forearm allows the identification of structural alterations that reflect pathological processes at the early stages of ontogenesis.
