| dc.description.abstract | The Polish education system actively uses interactive learning methods that contribute to better learning of the material and the development of practical skills. The implementation of this experience at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology made it possible to improve the quality of student training. Material and methods. The analysis was carried out on the basis of the integration of Polish educational experience into the curricula of students of the 4‑5 courses of the «Medicine» specialty at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Various IT tools were used, in particular, electronic textbooks, virtual simulators, online platforms for testing and communication, as well as interactive lectures. Results. The use of IT in the educational process at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology helped to significantly increase the effectiveness of education, allowing students to better learn complex material. Here are some key areas where IT solutions have become particularly useful: Virtual simulations: Platforms such as Simulab or CAE Healthcare have allowed students to practice surgical and clinical skills in a safe environment. This is especially important for future obstetricians and gynecologists, as they deal with vital moments during childbirth or gynecological operations. Telemedicine and consultations: students were able to participate in real clinical cases through telemedicine platforms, observing obstetrics and gynecology procedures remotely. This helped them gain clinical experience without the physical presence of a medical facility. Distance learning and platforms for managing the educational process: Moodle, Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams and other platforms provide the opportunity to organize access to lectures, seminars and tests in a remote format. Teachers of the department of obstetrics and gynecology were able to record a number of video lectures, create interactive tests using multimedia elements for better learning of the material by students. Interactive presentations and video materials: Tools such as H5P and Camtasia allow you to create interactive educational materials with video elements, graphics and tests, which increases the involvement of students in the learning process. Learners had the opportunity to review obstetrics and gynecology procedures and then participate in interactive tasks. Mobile Apps: Modern mobile apps like Medscape or Obstetrics & Gynecology Flashcards have become an effective tool to review theoretical material while preparing students for clinical tasks. Assessment of knowledge through testing: the use of a testing platform such as Kahoot or Quizlet allowed to quickly and efficiently test the knowledge of obstetrics and gynecology students, and also provided the possibility of adapting the tests to the needs of students of different training levels. General trends regarding the assessment of students who studied at the department of obstetrics and gynecology, the implementation of IT technologies show a positive perception. About 90% of students noted the increase in motivation to study and the convenience of using online resources and the platform for preparing and passing modular tests. About 87% of students admit that IT technologies helped them better understand the educational material and improve their academic performance. Conclusions. The implementation of IT technologies in the educational process of the department of obstetrics and gynecology is an important stage in the modernization of education. Thanks to interactive platforms, remote technologies and the possibility of engaging international experts, students receive higher quality and more modern education that meets today’s requirements. The introduction of effective electronic resources, virtual simulators and an online platform contributed to the improvement of learning, the individualization of the approach to each student and the improvement of communication. This experience can be useful for other medical institutions seeking to modernize their training programs. Thus, the absolute increase of students who successfully passed the exam the first time was 15 people, and the relative increase was 21.4%. In addition, the quality of academic performance improved – the percentage of students who received high grades increased by 20%. These results confirm the effectiveness of the use of IT technologies, which significantly improve the educational process and increase the level of learning of the material by students. | uk_UA |
