Modern directions of training of pediatric dentists in medical education institutions

Abstract

Abstract. Modern medical education is designed to provide the best conditions for the training of a competent, competitive and highly qualified doctor who is able to quickly adapt to changes and apply his knowledge in practice. Such requirements present medical education with the task of improving methods, approaches and learning technologies aimed at both deep specialization and the formation of a complete system of professional knowledge. Special attention is paid to the development of theoretical and practical knowledge, sustainable skills and abilities, as well as the formation of professional qualities and the ability to adapt to rapid progress in the field of health care and the development of innovative technologies. Pediatric dentistry is a key branch of pediatric medicine that focuses on the treatment of major dental diseases such as caries, its complications, periodontal and oral mucosal diseases. Propedeutics of children's therapeutic dentistry acts as a basic discipline that provides students with fundamental knowledge for further study of the subject in the conditions of clinical practice. In today's world, knowledge rapidly becomes outdated, so an important task of teachers is the constant improvement of methods and approaches to learning. The main objective is to provide students with a deep basic training and teach them to systematically update and expand their knowledge, skills and abilities according to the needs of the time. In the educational system, standards that provide a unified basis for learning, simplify the mobility of students between educational institutions, increase the competitiveness of graduates and strengthen the prestige of Ukrainian education in the world educational space are becoming more and more important. Currently, the Bologna process is the most effective and promising model of reforming the educational system, which contributes to the integration of national education into the European and global contexts. An important place in the formation of future dentists belongs to natural and scientific training. The process of studying natural and scientific disciplines in the training of future dentists is a set of consistent and interconnected actions of scientific and pedagogical personnel and students of higher medical educational institutions, aimed at ensuring the conscious and solid assimilation of the system of scientific knowledge, skills and abilities and the formation of the ability to use them in the future professional activity, on the development of self-education skills, that is, on the formation of professional competencies of dentists. Анотація. Сучасна медична освіта покликана забезпечити найкращі умови для підготовки компетентного, конкурентоспроможного та висококваліфікованого лікаря, здатного швидко адаптуватися до змін і застосовувати свої знання на практиці. Такі вимоги ставлять перед медичною освітою завдання вдосконалення методів, підходів і технологій навчання, спрямованих як на глибоку спеціалізацію, так і на формування цілісної системи професійних знань. Особлива увага приділяється розвитку теоретичних і практичних знань, стійких навичок і умінь, а також формуванню професійних якостей і здатності адаптуватися до швидкого прогресу у сфері охорони здоров’я та освоєнню інноваційних технологій. Дитяча стоматологія є ключовою галуззю медицини дитячого віку, що зосереджується на лікуванні основних стоматологічних захворювань, таких як карієс, його ускладнення, хвороби пародонту та слизової оболонки ротової порожнини. Пропедевтика дитячої терапевтичної стоматології виступає базовою дисципліною, яка забезпечує студентів фундаментальними знаннями для подальшого вивчення предмета в умовах клінічної практики. У сучасному світі знання стрімко застарівають, тому важливим завданням викладачів є постійне вдосконалення методів і підходів до навчання. Основна мета полягає у тому, щоб надати студентам глибоку базову підготовку та навчити їх систематично оновлювати і розширювати свої знання, навички та вміння відповідно до потреб часу. В освітній системі дедалі більшого значення набувають стандарти, які забезпечують єдину основу навчання, спрощують мобільність студентів між навчальними закладами, підвищують конкурентоспроможність випускників і зміцнюють престиж української освіти у світовому освітньому просторі. Нині Болонський процес є найефективнішою та перспективною моделлю реформування освітньої системи, що сприяє інтеграції національної освіти у європейський і глобальний контексти. Важливе місце в становленні майбутніх лікарів стоматологів належить природничо-науковій підготовці. Процес вивчення природничо-наукових дисциплін при підготовці майбутніх лікарів стоматологів – це сукупність послідовних і взаємопов'язаних дій науково-педагогічних кадрів і студентів вищих медичних навчальних закладів, спрямованих на забезпечення свідомого і міцного засвоєння системи наукових знань, умінь і навичок та формування вмінь використовувати їх у майбутній професійній діяльності, на розвиток навичок самоосвіти, тобто на формування фахових компетентностей лікарів стоматологів.
