Abstract. The work is devoted to the problem herpes zoster in people over 60 years old. Etiological and physiological features of the course of this disease in this category of people are highlighted. Recommendations for tre atment of VZV infection in elderly patients are given. The recommended antiviral drugs and their doses are described.
