Частота ендемічного зоба серед дітей, що мешкають у Карпатському регіоні

Abstract

Вивчалась поширеність ендемічного зоба серед дітей у різних клімато-географічних ярусах українських Карпат. Збільшення щитоподібної залози встановлено у 77,5% дітей, що мешкають на високогір'ї Карпат, у 72,5% дітей – на середньогір'ї у 41,8% дітей – на низькогір'ї. У більшості дітей виявлено легкий чи помірний ступінь недостатності йоду в організмі. Зниження ренальної екскреції йоду нижче мінімального рівня норми (<100 мкг/л) визначено у 82,3% дітей. Отримані результати свідчать про необхідність впровадження державної програми йодної профілактики у Карпатському регіоні.

Endemic goiter prevalence among children was studied at different levels of the Ukrainian Carpathians. An enlargement of the thyroid gland was discovered in 77,5% of the children who live under conditions of high-grade Carpathians, in 72,5% of the children who live at the me¬dium grade level and in 41,8% of the children who live at the low grade level. A slight or moderate degree of iodine deficiency in the organism was detected in the majority of the children. A decrease of the renal iodine excretion was lower than the minimal level of the norm (100MkgA) which was revealed in 82,3% of the children. The obtained data are indicativ of the necessity of adopting a state programme of iodine prophylaxis in the Carpathian region.
