We have studied the reactivity of the breathing passages and oxygen dependent microbocidity of neutrophil granulocytes in the blood serum of 137 children of school age with repeated episodes of the bronchoobstructive syndrome in the anamnesis, depending on the presence in the soil of the places of their habitation of small doses heavy metal salts and technogenic radionuclides. It has been shown that children, living in a "conventionally clean" zone and a region contaminated by small doses of heavy metal salts, belong to groups at risk of a possible onset of hyperactivity of the respiratory tracts.
