150 students of Bukovinian State Medical University, who major in general medicine and dentistry, voluntarily participated in the research conducted using questionnaire method.
The analysis of the results shows the majority of respondents' first use of alcohol at ages 14-15, 92% tried alcohol before coming of age. The leading motivation for alcohol consumption is the regulation of internal psychological state. Therefore, the joint efforts of teachers, psychologists and doctors should be focused on the systematic prevention of alcohol consumption with an emphasis on personal factor which will allow forming an adequate attitude to the problem and choosing in favor of healthy lifestyle.
