Abstract

The causes of the origin and pathogenetic peculiarities of the erectile dysfunction (ED J have been considered in men who suffer from benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). The impact of prostatectomy on the state of the men's sexual function has been analyzed. A suggestion concerning the expediency of performing retropubic prostatectomy for the purpose of decreasing the rate of ED occurrence has been made.
