Abstract

Abstract. We investigated the dynamics of the parameters of the state of blood serum protein peroxidation in surgical treatment of 60 patients with benign prostate hyperplasia. Surgical intervention was performed to the extent of transurethral prostate resection. Statistically, reliable changes of protein peroxidation were established prior to surgical intervention in comparison with the control group and when comparing the preoperative indices with the results of the examination during the intra- and postoperative periods. A technique of determining the state of blood serum protein peroxidation has been ascertained and the expediency of monitoring these parameters has been substantiated.
