Abstract: The article discusses the features of pathogenetic mechanisms in metabolic syndrome. Almost all of its components are risk factors for the development of cardiovascular diseases, and in combination accelerate their development many times over. Moreover, the combination of individual components can be considered within the framework of the metabolic syndrome only in the presence of insulin resistance. Of course, not all components of the metabolic syndrome occur at the same time. The phenotype of metabolic syndrome depends on the interaction of genetic and environmental factors.uk_UA
