Abstract

The administration of selenium-containing medication not only provides the normalization of selenium status of the body, but improves the efficacy of iodine-containing medications in patients-residents of the endemic region as well, thus reflecting the prospects for administration of selenium-containing medications in a complex treatment program for thyropathies.
